All our wines are red and exclusively elaborated on the grape variety Tempranillo, which is also the principal grape variety of this area . Our production is limited and protected by Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero, the entity in charge of controlling the production and bottling of our wines. The verification stamp is to be found on the counter label.

Joven

FRESH & FRUITY

This, our youngest wine was achieved through a cold pre-fermentation process for at least 48 hours,  in order to extract aromas and color, followed by a thermo  controlled fermentation process below 25ºC and a maceration period determined by taste.

Both in scent and taste does this wine reflect youth and freshness.The predominant colors  and aromas reflect those of red cherries and  black fruits. The taste is fruity,  soft and cheerfull

Cantaburros Joven has not aged on wood and it is the first wine to reach the market after the harvest.


Roble

Rich & Round

During a pre-fermentation process at low temperatures followed by a maceration period that lasts at least 48, hours colors and aromas are extracted. The actual fermentation process is controlled at temperatures below 28º. The following maceration time is determined by taste after which the wine matures on oak for 4 to 6 months

Cantaburros Roble is an intense and powerfull wine. Notes of red and black fruits are predominant both in aspect and taste. Where the color is enhanced by a garnet trim the taste is enriched by toasted and spicy notes.

Although more dense than our youngest wine the Roble still holds the freshness of  youth but also the persistency of a more mature wine.


Crianza

Our Crianza has undergone a prefermentative maceration  process at room temperature  prior to the alcoholic fermentation. The latter is thermo controlled at temperatures below 30º. By tasting the phenolic maturation is determined upon which the wine is transferred to American or French oak barrels where it remains from 12 to 14 months.  The wine is then transferred to bottles and after a minimum of 6 months it reaches the market.

Cantaburros Crianza is a powerful and structured wine. The predominant color is cherry red with intense purple hints. It presents aromatic features such balsam, spicy and toasted notes not to mention very characteristic remniscences of ripe fruits.

Reserva

elegant & expressive

Our Reserva  has undergone a prefermentative maceration  process at room temperature  prior to the alcoholic fermentation. The latter is thermo controlled at temperatures below 30º. The phenolic maturation is determined by tasting  whereafter the wine is transferred to American or French oak barrels where it remains from 16 to 18months. It is then bottled and app. 12 months later it reaches the market.

Cantaburros Reserva is a very elegant and mature wine. The colors reflect a scale of  purple red tones  with garnet rims in the thin layers. It presents toasted notes  which on  a background of ripe fruits  add  a particular elegance to the wine. A round, structured and expressive wine that is available 3 years after harvest, at the earliest.
